Dr. Aubrey B. Lucas

Aubrey Lucas, MD, is an Orthopedic Surgeon, certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He specializes in surgery of the hand and upper extremity and has a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand.

Dr. Lucas is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Mississippi. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Following an Orthopedic Residency in Greenville, SC, he completed his Hand Fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and has practiced in Jackson since 1992.

Dr. Lucas has been awarded membership into several of the medical profession's most well-respected and prestigious organizations, including the American Medical Association, Mississippi State Medical Association, American Orthopaedic Society, and Mississippi Orthopaedic Society.

Dr. Lucas' hospital affiliations include The Plastic Surgical Center of Mississippi, St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital, River Oaks Hospital, Woman's Hospital at River Oaks, Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, Rankin Medical Center, and HealthSouth Surgicare of Jackson.

Dr. Lucas is a Greenwood native and a fourth generation physician. His family has served Mississippi in the fields of obstetrics, general surgery, family practice, dermatology, and vascular surgery. When not spending time with family, he enjoys playing tennis and bushhogging kudzu on his farm in Holmes County.
