Dr. Michael G. Kanosky

Michael G. Kanosky, M.D., is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He performs cosmetic surgery for breast augmentation, abdominoplasty, body contouring and facial rejuvenation as well as breast reductions and surgical procedures.

Dr. Kanosky received his Doctorate in Medicine from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine. Following an Internship and General Surgery Residency in New Orleans, Louisiana at Charity Hospital and Louisiana State University Medical Center Affiliated Hospitals, he completed a Research Fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. In 1993 he received and maintains an appointment as Clinical Instructor, Division of Plastic Surgery, Department of Surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

In addition, Dr. Kanosky is a member of several most respected organizations in the medical profession including serving as President of the Mississippi State Chapter of the American College of Surgeons from 2003 through 2006, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, membership in the American Medical Association, Board of State Affairs, American Society of Laser Surgery and Medicine, American Society for Plastic Surgery, Mississippi State Medical Society, Southern Medical Association and the Mississippi State Medical Political Action Committee.

Dr. Kanosky has published several articles and abstracts in peer review journals, as well as multiple lectures and presentations at various societies and teaching organizations.

Dr. Kanosky’s hospital affiliations include Woman’s Hospital at River Oaks, River Oaks Hospital, Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital, Central Mississippi Medical Center, Rankin Medical Center, River Region Medical Center and the Plastic Surgery Center of Mississippi.

Dr. Kanosky and his wife Charmain reside in Jackson. His interest include tennis, chess, historical events and travel as well as involvement with charity work.
