Dr. Kenneth R. Barraza Dr. Kenneth R. Barraza

Thank you for your consideration in choosing a plastic surgeon.  I realize that there are many options when it comes to plastic surgeons and I encourage you to choose carefully and wisely.

I would like to tell you a little bit about my practice philosophy.  First and foremost I consider myself a physician.  I began medical school with a sincere desire to help others.  That desire has continued throughout my medical and surgical training and is now lived out through my practice.

Plastic and reconstructive surgery provides a unique opportunity to deal with a wide variety of problems ranging from congenital anomalies such as cleft lip and palate, to reconstruction after life saving cancer procedures such as mastectomy, to aesthetic procedures such as breast and facial cosmetic surgery.  Each of these areas provides a unique challenge.  I personally enjoy the intricacies and artistry of all of these procedures.  While my practice has evolved to one involving predominately facial and breast aesthetic surgery I still dedicate a portion of my practice to congenital and reconstructive procedures as well as the treatment of skin cancer, including melanoma.

My objective is to treat every patient with professionalism, compassion and respect.  Communication with my patients is of utmost importance to me.  Having trust in your surgeon is critical and I hope to earn that of my patients thru these efforts.

Finally, again I encourage you to choose your surgeon carefully.  Of all his or her qualifications, authentic board certification is most critical.  Experience is also crucial.  Establishing a trusting relationship with your doctor and having good communication is a must.  These issues should be apparent at your first consultation.  If any are lacking then you should seek a second opinion.  Before and after photographs are helpful.  They must be of the surgeons’ own work and should show consistency, meticulous work, and artistry.

Thank you again for your consideration and I look forward to meeting with you personally.
